Record a Video of Your Model in Under Five Minutes

A still image says what a model looks like. A five-second clip says how it moves, how it catches light, and that it actually works — which is what a buyer is really asking.

Static or scene

Studio has two kinds of session. Static is one model under lights, for stills. Video scene adds a timeline, other models, a camera you can keyframe and a soundtrack. For a first clip, static plus a turntable is enough.

The turntable

In the record dialog, tick Rotate camera 360° and set a duration. Six to eight seconds is the sweet spot: long enough to read the model from every side, short enough that nobody scrolls away. Set the format to MP4 and the resolution to 1080p.

Or film the animation

If the model has a clip, drop the turntable and let the animation play instead. Loop it twice so the viewer sees the cycle repeat and understands it is a loop, not a one-off.

Resolution is rendered, not upscaled

Choosing 1080p enlarges the drawing buffer and renders at that size — it does not stretch the viewport. Framing stays exactly what you see on screen. 60 fps is worth it for fast animations; 30 is fine for a turntable.

Where to use it

The clip belongs on the product page first. It is also the single most reusable asset you have: it works as-is on Discord, on X, and as a preview in a shop announcement.
