IronFishing Give Every Cast a Purpose1 / 4

Description

Custom Fish · Discovery Journals · Proficiency Progression · Seasonal Competitions · Fish Exchange Shop
Bring exploration, progression, and rewarding catches to your Minecraft server.
With IronFishing, players can search for rare fish on rainy nights, uncover unknown species in their journals, chase heavier catches, and exchange physical fish for rewards. Turn fishing into an activity players can enjoy throughout the season.
🎣 Build Your Own Fishing Ecosystem
Customize fish names, item materials, weight ranges, selection weights, and catch rewards.
Control where and when each species appears through:
Worlds and custom cuboid regions
Biomes
In-game time windows, including overnight ranges
Clear weather, rain, and thunderstorms
Minimum and optional maximum fishing proficiency
Create accessible starter catches and rare species hidden behind specific conditions, giving players a reason to explore new fishing spots.

📖 Discover, Collect, and Complete
Paginated collection journals display uncaught species as unknown entries. A first catch reveals the fish’s name and icon.
Journal entries can show catch counts, first-catch dates, largest catches, and first-catch locations. Further catches progressively reveal configured clues about each species.
Create multiple albums, include a species in more than one collection, and configure completion milestones with independently claimable rewards.
🪝 Custom Rods and Proficiency
Players earn fishing proficiency by catching custom fish, helping them meet the requirements for more advanced species.
Configure custom rods with separate multipliers for:
Proficiency gains
Actual catch weight
Relative selection weights for rare fish
Give starter rods, progression rewards, and event rods distinct roles in your server’s fishing experience.

🏆 Seasonal Fishing Competitions
Rank players by the total weight they catch during the current round.
Customize season names, round duration, and rewards for specific finishing positions. Players can claim competition rewards after settlement.
Disabling the competition pauses the current round’s remaining time and scoring; enabling it resumes the round. Use it for weekly contests or themed server events.
💎 Exchange Catches for Rewards
The built-in, paginated exchange shop supports both menu clicks and direct commands.
Configure offers with species requirements, individual weight thresholds, required quantities, and season restrictions. Reward players with items, console commands, or both.
Exchanges consume physical fish from the player’s inventory while preserving proficiency, journal progress, and previously earned competition weight. Signed fish metadata and redemption checks validate eligible catches.
